With the recent accumulation of Covid-19 infections and hospitalizations in the United States attributed to the spread of the most harmful Delta variant, the seven-day average of new doses administered nationally is 652,084, a 26% increase from 3 weeks ago. .
The vast majority of other people with severe cases of Covid-19 are un vaccinated.
The spike in vaccinations is surprising in several southern states that were lagging behind in dealing with low vaccination rates.
Alabama’s average, for example, is more than double that of 3 weeks ago. The state has the lowest rate of its total fully vaccinated population in the country, at 34%. On July 23, Governor Kay Ivey called the building “the unna vaccinated” in instances of Covid-19 there.
Arkansas, with only 36% of its population fully vaccinated, has also noticed that its average rate of doses administered doubles over the more than 3 weeks.

“The password is incorrect,” said Dr. Howard Jarvis, emergency medical director at Cox Health in Missouri.
“We have had an adoption of vaccines in our region in recent weeks,” he added. “We’ve reached out to other people like a hospital and some of the opinion leaders, devoted leaders who probably wouldn’t have been big supporters of vaccination in the past, have stepped forward and are doing so. So I think there’s more willingness for other people to get vaccinated. “
On Saturday, cdc knowledge showed that 49. 5% of Americans were fully vaccinated, as well as 57. 9% of other people over the age of 12 or older, or the organization now eligible to get the vaccines.
President Joe Biden announced Thursday that each and every federal government worker and contractor at the site will be asked to certify their vaccination status. Those who are not vaccinated are subject to strict protocols, adding normal testing, masking and limits on official travel.
