Even before MRC Data released its mid-year annual report detailing the functionality of the music industry and the most sensible acting song and album directory, it was no exaggeration to claim that Taylor Swift and BTS were two of the American company’s most successful artists. Although no one disputes this claim, it’s helpful to have evidence of those labels and be a little more accurate.
According to the newly released report, Swift and BTS are the only two acts to have scored not one, but two of the 10 best-selling physical albums in the U. S. U. S. In the early part of 2021. sell very well (as their enthusiasts prefer to stream the music they love), the two most sensitive of the charts are collecting six-figure sales figures with several other releases in just six months, which is a testament to their immense popularity and determination of their fan base.
Swift’s Evermore is the best-selling album in physical formats of 2021, at least so far, as the wonderful release has already moved 320,000 copies. well in all formats, adding CDs and especially vinyls.
The Grammy winner occupies 3 places on the list of the 10 best-selling physical albums in the United States this year, making it the most successful act. printing at #4 and #5 with Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Folklore, respectively. The old set, a re-recorded edition of their album so far, has sold 147,000 copies, while their first album No. 1 of 2020, Folklore, has already sold 136,000 more copies, although it was also a bestseller last year.
Bts’ call seems to be at numbers 6 and 10, and they have sold over 200,000 CDs (and other formats) between their recent peak releases. Be, which also launched in December, sold 125,000 copies. 105,000 more copies in the first six months of 2021, which is impressive when you consider that it also sold massively last year and went on sale in the first quarter of 2020, meaning it’s a one-and-a-one-year high right now.
