In its main booking announced in a week, Clive’s Horizon Events Center will host rap-rock band Limp Bizkit at 8 p. m. on Aug. 2.

The band’s tour began in Chicago on July 29 at Lollapalooza. Clive is the recorded time before the tour.
Founded through vocalist Fred Durst, the band born in Jacksonville, Florida, in the mid-90s, is known for songs like “Nookie” and “Take a Look Around. “

Last week, the Horizon Event Center, formerly the 7 Flags Event Center, announced that hip-hop artist Nelly would perform there on November 5, with local artist B. Wells opening for exhibition. show via Blues Traveller and JJ Gray
The current management, hired by Swanson Productions LLC, took over the famous venue in 2019, and the veteran team of general manager Gary DeWaard and chief booking officer Tariq Lundy are running to raise Horizon’s profile.
DeWaard helped the Tree Town Music Festival in Forest City, now the Country Thunder, and Lundy helped Big Country Bash in St. Charles.
While the explanation component of why her good luck in the primary events draw is possibly due to the disruption of other venues through the COVID-19 pandemic, Lundy said she hopes to continue seeing famous events on the 3,000-capacity Horizon.
“I think we can (draw big names). I think we’ll make it even next year,” Tariq said, adding that other people can expect artists from genres ranging from country to hip hop to screamo. “we have to respond to the big names that can sell tickets. “
