Do you get by with music?

I’ve noticed some references over the years to the healing virtues of paying attention to music, and in my own life, there is a connection between my temperament and music that I must pay attention to at some point.

A recent article from the Independent (UK) lists some of the reasons why music can cope with our existing pandemic and eventually everything that’s happening in the world right now.

They indexed 6 reasons, and for you, any or more of them may be valid. For me, there are some that are useful, but this is the one that moves me:

3. La music can help us manage feelings: There are clever reasons for many of us to seek solace in music when we go through a breakup or a complicated transition, whether it’s back-to-back heartbreaking songs that make us cry. or a pumping track that brings us back to life. Music can help us process and express our feelings: smart crying can be very healthy!

Speaking, again, by myself, when I’m frustrated with global events, work, or anything else that might aggravate me beyond confidence right now, a smart piece of loud music can make that explicit and take it out of my formula so I can then move on with my life. I find myself increasingly irritable if I haven’t figured out a way to make explicit the frustration I would possibly feel at some point until it ends up manifesting itself in a way I’d rather not see. when I get more and more frustrated, I take out my headphones and a little bit of punk rock, until I feel better.

And really, there’s a lot to be frustrated with in the world right now, let’s let our individual lives. If loud music is helping me deal with that, so be it. So, let’s at least fill our lives with music. In fact, it can’t hurt.

What effect does music have on your own emotional well-being?Do you have any idea of the role it can play in non-public care?
