Wisbech businessman James Punton sold 4. 7 acres with a building permit for a nursing home.
His company, Wisbech Construction Ltd, received permission for the construction of the lane care house last year.
He bought it through LNT Care Developments and director Keeley Sharp said it would be loaded into “an established and emerging line of sites in the east of England”.
His company plans a two-story, 66-room house; they will also build some nearby houses that have also been agreed.
Fenland City Council has authorised five houses on site to partially fund “significant progression prices of the care home and facilitate money in the early stages of progression”.
Construction is expected to begin in January 2022 with a final touch date planned for February 2023.
Sharp said: “Once completed, the space will offer exceptional accommodation with fully equipped rooms, spacious and non-unusual spaces and amenities.
“These will come with a cinema, library, garden furniture and tea room, all surrounded by superbly manicured gardens. “
