(RTTNews) – Alaska Airlines said it is exercising initial functions on 12 Boeing 737-9s. Optional aircraft are now the company’s commitments for 2023 and 2024. The additional commitment brings the Alaska company’s overall order for 737-9s to 93 aircraft, five of which are recently. in service.
Alaska announced a restructured agreement with Boeing in December 2020 to acquire 68 737-9 aircraft between 2021 and 2024, with features for 52 deliveries between 2023 and 2026.
In 2021, Alaska Airlines exercised 25 of the features, adding thirteen aircraft in May. As a component of the transaction, Alaska will load 25 features to complete those that have been exercised.
