The state of Minnesota is adding more COVID-19 sites to meet the resurgence in demand.
Earlier this summer, the state shut down some of its network testing sites because fewer people were on for COVID testing. But the increase in the number of instances powered through the most contagious delta variant in recent weeks is driving the construction of a call for testing.
The state will open a semi-permanent COVID test at the Minneapolis Convention Center and another at the former Lino Lakes YMCA on Sept. 13 on Wednesday.
They sign up for existing network test sites in Bloomington, Brooklyn Park, Duluth, Mankato, Moorhead, St. Cloud, St. Paul and Winona, as well as Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Covid saliva tests provided on those sites are free; Other people are encouraged to make an appointment, although walk-in visitors are also accepted. All test sites on the state’s network will be closed on Labor Day.
“As more Minnesotans are vaccinated, testing remains an imperative component of our strategy to protect our communities from COVID-19,” Minnesota Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm said in a news release. “Through a physically powerful collaborative testing program, we have removed many barriers to testing for families across the state. Combined with social distancing, masking, and staying home when sick, testing can help us slow the spread of the delta variant as we continue our paints to bring vaccines to life in Minnesota. »
The state also provides loose COVID tests sent to your home. Other COVID places can be discovered here.
