OCONTO, Wisconsin (WFRV) – Oconto Mayor Lloyd Heier joined Local Five and discussed the upcoming tractor shop opening, as well as upcoming occasions in the latest network update.
Heier said the new tractor supply store in Oconto plans to open Sept. 25. Heier says the interior of the store has already been renovated and is larger than others in the area.
There were some problems in getting some of the materials for the workshop. Heier said Tractor Supply to get fabrics from Texas and took longer than expected. This new workshop will also bring work to the area.
The 75th anniversary of the Airplane and Auto Show is one of the many occasions to come. Heier said the occasion will feature food and drinks, as well as an area large enough for other people to walk around.
Harvest Fest is an occasion when Main Street is closed and several vendors sell pieces ranging from jewelry to handicrafts. Harvest Fest is not only an opportunity to buy pieces, however, Heier mentions that this occasion also shows the Main Street neighborhood.
Even though the calendar has just passed in September, Christmas is fast approaching and Oconto’s Winter Wonderland occasion will take place. Heier said the occasion is like a parade and Santa climbs a ladder.
