More Americans on September 11 replaced the U. S. For more than more

WASHINGTON

More Americans than ever before the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks replaced America for the worse, rather than for the better, according to a new ballot issued Wednesday.

The Washington Post-ABC News poll indicates that 46% of Americans on Sept. 11 replaced the country for the worse, compared with 42% who agreed when the consultation was last done in 2011 and 27% in 2002.

Only 33 agree that the attacks have replaced the United States for the better, an all-time low on voting records.

Nearly a portion of respondents, 49 percent, agree that the U. S. is safer than it was before Sept. 11. This is a dramatic drop from September 2011, when 64% of Americans said the country was safer in the wake of the death of former al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in Pakistan in a special operations raid.

Bin Laden orchestrated the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 other people in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia when hijackers invaded advertising planes and transported them to major sites, adding the Pentagon and the World Trade Center.

Passengers overtook the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania before the hijackers could fly it to its intended target, which would be the White House or the U. S. Capitol.

There is a gap among supporters as to whether they believe America is safer today than it was before the attacks. Some 57% of Democrats believe it, compared to 54% of Republicans who think not.
