After a long pause, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry, announced the reopening of cinemas in 8 cities in Pakistan, starting on October 1.
The resolution was taken at an assembly chaired by the Federal Minister of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Asad Umar, which sought to ease COVID-19 restrictions in localities that have reached the target vaccination rate.
These villages come with Gilgit, Skardu, Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Quetta and Peshawar. Chaudhry tweeted to verify the same: “Eight villages, in addition to Rawalpindi and Islamabad, will be able to reopen cinemas from October 1. The fitness government in Karachi and Lahore will organize vaccination campaigns so that cinemas can also reopen in their areas. “
Speaking to the microblogging site, Umar reaffirmed that “the only way out of the Covid-19 pandemic [was] to vaccinate a higher percentage of citizens. “So he also announced that as a component of a strategy to praise vaccinated municipalities, there will be “maximum restrictions on municipalities with low degree of vaccination and on citizens who are vaccinated,” also from October 1.
Just yesterday, as the world presented some other James Bond film, Pakistanis began to wonder if they could make a stop at their local cinemas again, and while established actors like Fahad Mustafa, who don’t fully count on the release of their live films for their lifestyle, seemed hopeful, filmmakers like Nabeel Qureshi seemed to be restless.
“James Bond opens in London. We hope to see our cinemas in action soon [too]. The global is back to normal, that’s a smart sign!” tweeted Fahad, while Nabeel asked: “Kab khulengay cinemas (When will cinemas reopen?)?”
But even as cinemas sought to reopen in Pakistan before this year, everyone seemed to be turning a blind eye to the elephant in theatre: that only a Bollywood-dependent workplace has a new life thanks only to Hollywood and Pakistan videos. ?
In that regard, he also announced in India that cinemas in Maharashtra would reopen from October 22, the reopening comes after 18 months of final counterattacks following the Covid-19 pandemic, followed by the series of lockdowns since March 2020.
