This year’s live and virtual occasion brings in combination 316 professionals composed of either global, most of them in Baden. The theme “Innovating towards perfection” fits perfectly with the cliché about Swiss quality and engineering, but it is more than a cliché. Switzerland will have to constantly innovate to remain competitive. Its third position in Bloomberg’s ranking of the world’s top-cutting countries shows the results.
According to Hans-Jürg Gysin, president of SAMPE Switzerland, his country has a well-developed automation point with qualified and accurate people. He is genuine and knows that innovation in genuine life is usually incremental.
Switzerland has several universities very concerned about compounds. EPFL in Lausanne and ETH Zürich are identified in many foreign rankings, however, smaller universities are also a true driving force for innovation in composites.
Conference participants visited other production sites and attended presentations on new materials, processes, programs that add hydrogen and sustainability, among others.
