The NFL, school football, and MLB Season Finals involve a weekend sports program

MIAMI, Oct. 1 (UPI) – The end of the normal 2021 MLB season, dozens of NFL and school football games, NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, UFC fights and football games fill this week’s sports program.

In the American League, the Tampa Bay Rays, Houston Astros and Chicago White Sox round out the playoffs.

The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox are first and second, respectively, in the American League wild-card race. Seattle Mariners are part of an Array game The Toronto Blue Jays are a game in the Wild Card standings.

Fox will air two at 7:15 p. m. Saturday EDT. The Cardinals host the Chicago Cubs and the Braves host the New York Mets in those matchups.

The Dodgers host the Brewers in their final normal season game at 3:10 p. m. HAE on Sunday on TBS.

In total, more than 115 school and NFL football games air on Fridays and Sundays. The list includes several school football matchups between the top 10 groups and NFL Division matchups.

Iowa, the number five team in the training poll, faces Maryland at 8 p. m. HAE on Friday in FS1. No. 2 Georgia faces No. 11 Arkansas at noon EDT on EspN.

No. 7 Notre Dame hosts No. Cincinnati at 2:30 p. m. Saturday on NBC. Alabama’s No. 1 faces No. 12 Ole Miss at 3:30 p. m. on CBS.

Oklahoma’s No. 3 faces kansas state at 3:30 p. m. EDT on Saturday on Fox. Oregon’s No. 3 faces Stanford at 3:30 p. m. Saturday on ABC.

In the NFL, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots face off in one of the highest anticipated matchups of the season.

Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will make his first away appearance Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Sunday night’s soccer game will begin at 8:20 p. m. EDT on NBC.

Sunday’s NFL schedule also includes games at 1 p. m. EDT, two at four: 05 p. m. EDT and two games at 4:25 p. m. La fourth week ended when the Los Angeles Chargers hosted the Las Vegas Raiders at 8:15 p. m. on ESPN Monday night football.

The Carolina Panthers (3-0) will face the Dallas Cowboys (2-1) at 1 p. m. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs (1-2) will face the Philadelphia Eagles (1-2) at 1 p. m. on CBS.

The San Francisco 49ers (2-1) host the Seattle Seahawks in an NFC West clash at 4:05 p. m. The Arizona Cardinals face the Los Angeles Rams 3-0 at 4:05 p. m. a. s. in Renard.

NASCAR Playoffs

Denny Hamlin is the favorite in the 188-lap race. He won the first race of the Round of 12 last weekend in Las Vegas. Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott, William Byron, Kyle Larson, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick are among the favorites.

Hamlin will come out first, followed by Busch, Elliott, Blaney and Larson.

Round of 12 continues with the Bank of America ROVAL 400 on October 10 in Concord, NC Four drivers will be eliminated for the Playoffs after this race William Byron, Harvick, Alex Bowman and Christopher Bell are the top 4 drivers in danger of being eliminated while the Top 8 of the standings are outdoors.

The Xfinity Series and NASCAR Truck Playoffs will also air this weekend from Talladega. The Chevrolet Silverado 250 series of pickup trucks will air Saturday at 1 p. m. EDT on FS1. The Xfinity Sparks 300 series on Talladega airs at 4:30 p. m. HAE on Saturday on NBCSN.
