Tuscarawas Valley Film Festival underway at Quaker Cinema

NEW PHILADELPHIA – The Tuscarawas Valley Film Festival will continue Thursday at The Quaker Cinema at 158 W. High Ave. y will continue every Thursday night through October 21.

Park Street Pizza and Hoodletown Brewing will begin promoting themselves at 5:30 p. m. The films will begin at 6:30 p. m.

Tickets can be purchased during the week. A VIP pass for the Film Festival is also available which it supports every night.

The program is as follows: Thursday, “Together, Together” and “The Loneliest Whale”; October 14, “Dream Horse” and “Best Summer Ever”; and on October 21, “Superior” and a film to be announced later.

Proceeds will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio.

The festival opened Thursday with the screening of “The Enormity of Life,” which he directed and co-wrote through Tuscara County local Eric Swinderman. The film carried the common name “Anhedonia” when scenes were filmed on the Tuscora Park carousel. a black comedy, starring Emily Kinney, Breckin Meyer and Giselle Eisenberg, which can be seen through streaming services.
