Dorothy Lane Store Market Plans in the Cincinnati Area

Dorothy Lane Market, a circle of three family business stores, plans to open its first Grand Cincinnati grocery store in the city of Mason as a component of a new $150 million planned mixed-use community, it announced Wednesday.

The progression of 70 mixed-use acres will come with 80,000 square feet of retail and specialty restaurants, in addition to the gourmet store. The site is on the former Western Row Golf Course.

Progression will come with five lakes, an oceanfront prom, and walking trails with a green center that will connect the DLM, restaurants, and retail stores with a boutique hotel and residential network (up to 120 residences) in neighboring neighborhoods.

“Dorothy Lane Market will be a glorious anchor for our new pedestrian community, creating an exciting destination for high-end shopping and dining and the newest lifestyle opportunities,” Tom Humes, president of Traditions Group and co-developer of the project, said in a statement.

DLM lately operates sites in the Dayton, Ohio area: Oakwood, Washington Township, and Springboro. The grocery store has been a family business since 1948.

“We are very excited to enroll in the Mason community,” Norman Mayne, owner of DLM, said in a statement. “For more than 70 years, we have served consumers in Dayton, but also many consumers in the Greater Cincinnati area. We’ve been looking for the right position for a store there for years. We feel fortunate to have discovered this wonderful location in Mason. It has been wonderful to paint with the town of Mason and we already felt at home there. »

The assignment is subject to final agreements between all parties and receives all approvals from the Planning Commission, the Government and the Final Council; pending those approvals, the inauguration is scheduled for 2022.
