Blackstone creates a structured finance group

NEW YORK, November 03, 2021 –-(BUSINESS WIRE)–Blackstone (NYSE: BX) today announced the formation of its structured finance group, which includes Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies (“BREDS”) and the company’s asset-backed assets Jonathan Pollack, most recently Global Head of BREDS, has been named Global Head of the Structured Finance Group. Timothy Johnson, recently BREDS Global Director of Assembly, will become Global Director of BREDS, overseeing all residential advertising and lending activities.

Rob Camacho will continue to lead the company’s investment activities in asset-based financing. Mike Wiebolt, who most recently manages the real estate group’s liquid securities business, will now manage asset-backed securities.

The formation of this combined organization will further expand Blackstone’s lending functions in an asset-backed money market, adding credit to customers, real estate, transportation, industry receivables, fund financing, and virtual infrastructure.
