Entertainment electronics mogul Jeff Walker bought an attic in W South Beach for $9. 25 million.
Walker, president of Alliance Entertainment, bought the 2006 unit of SoBe W Estates, according to Daniel Tzinker of Tzinker International Realty, who indexed the space and closed the deal for the seller.
Records show so SoBe W Estates bought the unit in 2011 for $6. 1 million. The entity is controlled through Tzinker, however, he said he is not the true owner of the house.
Steven Seigal of Compass represented the buyer.
The three-bedroom penthouse is 2,408 feet on two levels, according to Redfin, and has glass balconies and two personal rooftop terraces.
Walker paid about $4,000 per square foot for the unit.
Sunrise-based Alliance distributes CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, Blu-ray discs, video games and similar electronic devices to stores and retailers, according to its website.
The 20-story W South Beach condo-hotel, located at 2201 Collins Avenue, ended in 2009.
