U. S. stocks closed the week at highs on Friday, as the U. S. economy added 531,000 jobs in October, up from 312,000 in September.

Jeff Bezos’ company, Blue Origin, lost its lawsuit against NASA, ending a six-month legal battle.
Blue Origin had claimed in court in the past that NASA’s decision to award a $2. 9 billion contract to Space-X was “unfair” and showed favoritism toward Elon Musk-owned SpaceX.
Pfizer shares rose 11% on Friday after the date revealed that its new tablet may pose a threat of death or hospitalization in COVID-19 patients by as much as 89% if taken at an early stage.
In other markets, oil rose 3% as OPEC rejected U. S. calls to increase production.
Meanwhile, the value of spot ore has fallen by 7% due to weak Chinese demand and is now trading at 92. 75 US dollars.
Bitcoin is at US$62,900 at 8:00 a. m. AEDT, down from US$61,200 on Friday.

In the large cap this morning, Sydney Airport (ASX: SYD) agreed to acquire an $8. 75 consortium, valuing the airport at $23. 6 billion.
On the IPO front, SiteMinder (ASX: SDR), an open hotel trading platform, will be indexed at 11:00 aedt under the ticker symbol SDR.
Founded in 2006, the SiteMinder generation provides a platform to integrate internal control systems from individual hotels to booking sites.
And later in the day, the National Skills Commission will have the initial effects of the October Online Job Vacancy Index.
Commsec says professional task posts recovered 4. 9% in September.
