Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has brought a new style more designed for off-roaders and enthusiasts of “adventure bikes”, also known as “ADVs” or “dual-sport bikes”, couldn’t be happier.
Called the Ducati DesertX, the 110-horsepower device features a flavor that will pay homage to Ducati’s desert racing devices of the 1980s, while also fully meeting the criteria of street, generation and performance.
The DesertX fits well between Ducati’s more road-oriented Multistrada (“many roads”) styles that can also venture off the pavement and the Ducati Scrambler diversity of more urban machines that can also get dirty. give it transparent credit over those two levels of styling in terms of off-road performance, and give Ducati new access to the now very popular ADV motorcycle category.
With a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear roll bar (maximum sizes discovered on off-road motorcycles), the DesertX provides generous floor space, long-travel Kayaba suspension parts and two special riding modes specially designed for off-roading. Other driving modes come with variants for driving in the rain, on the road or in sportier environments.
The DesertX will also be available with a long list of available features that more adventurous pilots need, adding an additional fuel tank, sturdy aluminum housings, protective bars, and main points like heated handles and seat features. it starts at $16,795, but designed for a “round the world” (“RTW”) expedition, the value can be seamlessly successful at $20,000.
The strength comes from the physically powerful but updated 110-horsepower liquid-cooled “L-Twin” engine that powers several other motorcycles in the Ducati range. Pilots will get speed, direction and other important data from a vertical LCD display in the cockpit. The two front LEDs integrated into the motorcycle frame smooth the way forward.

The DesertX was born from a Ducati concept motorcycle presented at the EICMA motorcycle show in Italy in 2019.
