U. S. Navy in Italy Blocked After Shooting

MILAN (AP) — A U. S. Navy site in Naples, Italy, was closed Thursday following reports of gunfire at the scene.

Base spokesman Lt. Cmdr. Matthew Comer said the Naples site was shut down around 6:25 p. m. (17:25 GMT) after “audible shooting reports”. The reports were still being audited.

No suspects were reported and no suspects were identified.

The army facility also includes residential housing.
