Former President Donald Trump’s 2024 election crusade began promoting an “official” photo on Tuesday. But the mugshot is absolutely wrong.
“Order your official Trump Mugshot T-shirt TODAY!” Trump posted on social media on Tuesday.
Trump was arrested in New York on Tuesday afternoon and reportedly faces 34 felony charges similar to a silent payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election. Trump has pleaded not guilty to all federal charges, according to CNN.
But a passport photo of Trump’s arrest was reportedly not taken on Tuesday. The mugshot on T-shirts sold through Trump’s crusade is not real. The T-shirt retails for $36 and says “NOT GUILTY” underneath.
Many fake photos of Trump went viral over the past week after a federal grand jury announced it had indicted the former president. These mugshots were created using Midjourney and other synthetic intelligence equipment that allows users to enter text, which then creates photorealistic images.

Trump’s crusade says the former president has raised more than $7 million since last Thursday, when news of the indictment was first announced.
Since the indictment, Trump has continuously used his social media platform Truth Social to galvanize frenzy among his supporters, even claiming that Alvin Bragg, the prosecutor who brought the case, would be indicted. Most of the absolutely unbalanced messages were in capital letters.
“A VERY UNFAIR PLACE, WITH SOME AREAS VOTING AT 1% GOPS. THIS CASE SHOULD BE MOVED TO STATEN ISLAND IN CLOSE PROXIMITY – IT WOULD BE A VERY FAIR AND SAFE PLACE FOR TRIAL. MOREOVER, THE HIGHLY PARTISAN JUDGE AND HIS FAMILY ARE WELL-KNOWN TO HATE TRUMP. IT WAS AN UNFAIR DISASTER IN A PREVIOUS CASE INVOLVING TRUMP, HE WILL NOT RECOVER, GAVE HORRIBLE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE JURY AND IMPOSSIBLE TO FACE THE WITCH HUNT DURING THE TRIAL. HIS DAUGHTER WORKED FOR “KAMALA” AND NOW THE BIDEN-HARRIS CAMPAIGN. CUT!!!” Trump wrote.
Perhaps Trump’s crusade deserves to publish this mass of text on a T-shirt.
