A large one-day summer picnic with music will be held at College Green next month, Bristol Cathedral Church leaders have announced. And they set up reasonable buses for families and teams from all over Bristol to attend.
The party on the green will take place on Sunday 18 June and everyone in the city is invited to bring a picnic and activities organised by others such as SS Great Britain, We The Curious and Young Bristol. There will also be a music stage, set up through St George’s Bristol, which will feature local artists such as Troyka, Mohamed Errebbaa, Kat Lyons, China Bowls and Kala Chng from Knowle West.
The concept was born out of the Jubilee Lunch 2022 that took place at College Green near the cathedral, and this year’s event is expected to be even bigger. It has been held as part of Bristol’s 650th anniversary celebrations since it granted city and county status.
