BRAVARD COUNTY, FL. – The Mango Harvest Festival is back at Sams House Nature Center on North Merritt Island! On Saturday, June 24, from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. m.

Guests can view live demonstrations of mango recipes, such as dehydrated mangoes, pickled green mangoes, mango sauce, sautéed mangoes, mango sorbet, and more.

After the demonstrations, visitors will be invited to a tasting.

To reserve a seat and purchase a $5 ticket for the recipe demonstrations, call (321) 449-4720.

All festive occasions are loose and open to the public.

Mangoes and mango-related delicacies, as well as jams, hot sauces, fish frying sauces and baked goods, can be purchased in addition to local honey.

Brevard Tropical Fruit Club members will be available to answer questions about other mango species.

Raffle baskets related to mango and other pieces will be displayed on the porch of the two-story Sams House from 1888. Entertainment will be presented from 12:00 to 14:00.

The Sams Hut of 1875 will open with the Sams family, Ice Age fossils, and the Native Americans who once inhabited this site.

The Mango Harvest Festival is fostered through the legacy of the pioneer Sams family, who were filthy wealthy citrus and pineapple growers and sugar cane growers in the 1880s.

After a very successful festival in 2021, it was cancelled last year after a lack of blood and wind prevented the trees from generating a mango harvest.

Sams House in the Pine Island Conservation Area is at 6195 N. Tropical Trail. This more than 880-acre preserve is a component of Brevard County’s Threatened Environmental Lands program.
