Festival co-chair Mary-Catherine McBride answered questions from the Ventura County Star about the occasion visitors can expect from the festival. Your responses have been edited for area and clarity.

Parking is loose for all concerned. All parking is loose and located on the Conejo Creek site. Once the lot is full, there is off-site parking across the street on the most sensitive part of the hill at the Conejo Creek Park Equestrian Center. And then it’s just a walk through the library park to our site.
The VIP party costs $225 and that includes specialty parking. There is a special domain for VIP: VIP entry, special food that day, separate bar, shade, tables, chairs, games and things in the VIP domain that are exclusive to them. We also have the Oak cocktail cart
So, VIP has a lot of other experiences, they can definitely come and pass in the general domain for all the other activities that take place there.
You have to do all day between listening to music and dancing online, buying groceries and eating.
There is a food court with 12 food trucks, vendor tents and food tents. There are online dance categories on the day. There is a tasting of foreign hot sauce. There are more than 60 sellers to buy. There is a 360 degree photo booth which was fun enough.
We have a silent auction. There are all sorts of things, from travel to timeshares. There are jewels. There are wine and cheese baskets. We have a guitar from the Guitar Center that we will have signed that day through the interpreters, and that is raffled off. In this you can buy tickets for the draw.
But the silent auction has a total diversity of varied things that span the entire monetary spectrum. You can get stuff there for $25 to $50 or up to $300 to $400. So, there’s something for everyone in the silent auction. 100% of those profits are donated to local Rotary charities.
We are making money and credit card this year.
No food or drink is allowed in the area.
You are allowed to bring lawn chairs or beach chairs. But don’t umbrellas, because they don’t need to block the view. Coverages are acceptable.
Yes, we are looking for all bags. Today, we must ensure that we put safety and security above all else. It is a priority for us that we have an environment for all visitors and families. This is an occasion for a circle of relatives in their own right.
Bags and backpacks are not recommended. Any bag you bring should be a clear plastic bag. I sense other people bringing diaper bags and bottles and everything, and that’s fine, but they’ll be recorded.
And most importantly, no weapons are allowed on the site. There are no weapons. Even if you have a permit to carry, firearms will not be allowed on site, and the police are there to help in this position.
