AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The City of Austin and the Austin Symphony Orchestra invite Austinites to celebrate July with music and fireworks at Shores Auditorium.
The annual H-E-B Austin Symphony concert and Fourth of July fireworks begin at five in the afternoon with VIP and some entertainment before the main event.
The occasion loosens at 8 p. m. with a welcome and a special guest, with the concert at 8:30 p. m. followed by fireworks. The loose occasion is open to the public.
The town says that for a more productive experience, citizens park north of Lady Bird Lake downtown to avoid congestion in and around South Lamar Boulevard, Barton Springs Road and Riverside Drive, all spaces south of the park.
The community of Bouldin Creek will have implemented community parking restrictions for protective reasons.
Parking in prohibited spaces, such as green spaces and parks, along right-of-way and medians or blocking vehicle entrances and personal land, or in “unauthorized” spaces would likely expose participants to fines, fines, and/or towing at their expense.
Public parking will be available for participants:
ADA parking will be permit-based at Palmer Event Center Garage and One Texas Center on a first-come, first-served basis. The front is from south Barton Springs Road.

Residents can also use the following tactics to get to the park:
Road closures and/or lane discounts will begin at 10 a. m. m. y will possibly precede the actual start times of the event. Some roads will likely be closed early for protective reasons due to heavy foot traffic.
Parking is not permitted in neighborhoods south of Auditorium Shores. All will reopen at midnight.

For protection reasons, Lady Bird Lake between the Trestle Rail Bridge and the South First Street Bridge will be closed from 8:00 p. m. m. a midnight.
Residents are asked to plan ahead, prepare and dispose of waste properly.
The municipality gives the following tips to prepare for the event:
The City reminds citizens that there are no beverages, Styrofoam or alcohol on site.
Swimming is prohibited in Lady Bird Lake. Smoking and vaping are also prohibited in city parks and are a Class C infraction.
Selling a license in the park is also a Class C felony with a maximum fine of $200.

Residents are requested to leave pets at home, as fireworks are very annoying. If you lose your pet, check with Austin Animal Center.
Traffic may be affected by other Austin celebrations, adding activities at Q2 Stadium with doors opening at 1 p. m. m. , musical performances at 2 p. m. and a separate fireworks show.
