An online movie site allows moviegoers to sit in their seats

The Odeon cinema chain renews its offer to allow moviegoers

to select a seat before booking tickets online.

Although it is currently only offering the service for its flagship

cinema in Leicester Square, the chain plans to roll it out on

UNITED KINGDOM.

Fans are shown a colour-coded seating plan of the London cinema before

Opt for a location. Moviegoers can book their tickets electronically online

for Odeon cinemas in the UK.

Created through Internet company Lateral, the new site offers links to movies

the spin-off of Empire Online magazine so that users can read the latest news about movies and

Comment.

In addition to an improved publishing house, the new www. odeon. co. uk allows

visitors to play a game called Usherette, where players have to seat

cinema-goers in a virtual auditorium but against the clock. The game is

backed up via an Odeon screen protector.

Leonie Maguire, project manager of Lateral, described the site as a

creative challenge. Agency staff worked on the task with BT,

who developed the site’s back-end system.

He added that Odeon has yet to reveal its plans to expand mobile apps or

iTV platforms for your service.
