Agile Defense
This enterprise IT- and digital transformation-focused company brought in both a new CEO and chief growth officer during the fourth quarter of 2023.
In the most recent appointment to Agile Defense senior leadership, Razwan Raja assumes the role of Chief Innovation Officer, a role he assumes after founding and leading XOR Security in its sale to Agile Defense.
This transaction was finalized in the spring of 2023 and grew Agile Defense into a 1000-employee company.
Government market investment firm Enlightenment Capital acquired Agile Defense in the fall of 2022
DCS Corp.
The employee-owned government company ended 2023 integrating its Infoscitex subsidiary with the rest of the company as part of its efforts to offer a more comprehensive portfolio of aerospace and defense technologies.
DCS’s next step for this iteration of its strategy is the promotion of three-decade corporate veteran Bill Protzman to president and chief operating officer, a role he assumed on Jan. 1.
Protzman’s number one day-to-day jobs will include money management, RFP decisions, business development, compliance, and procedure development.
Former chief operating officer Larry Egbert has resigned after 10 years at DCS.
ECS
Ryan Garner joins ASGN’s Government Generation segment as Chief Financial Officer after nearly two years as Chief Financial Officer at Navistar Defense.
Garner is also a two-decade veteran at CACI International, where he most recently served as chief financial officer of that company’s Innovative Solutions and Homeland Security business.
You will oversee all ECS financial and accounting operations, contracts, legal, pricing, procurement functions, monetary drafting plans and analysis, service management, and compliance activities.
Nokia Federal Solutions
As 2023 drew to a close, the telecommunications and IT company unveiled its new subsidiary targeting the U. S. government. The U. S. Navy, following an acquisition aimed at the defense market.
Nokia Federal Solutions has followed up those developments with the promotion of Gerardo Marcor to Chief Operating Officer after 25 years in the telecommunications industry, a career that positions him as Chief Financial Officer for the parent company’s U. S. market.
The NFS business touts its core focus areas as including 5G, Internet Protocol routing, microwave, optical networking and tactical private wireless.
NFS acquired Fenix Group in December to upload bids for defense agencies.
SixGen
With a new private equity owner now in place, this offensive cyber solutions provider has made an initial pair of C-level executive hires to help chart this phase of its strategy.
Amanda Lambert joined SixGen as Chief Human Resources Officer after a year in the same role at cyber company Shift5. Ashequel Hoque takes on the role of CFO after a year as CFO at DMI.
Lambert’s career also includes HR leadership positions at Bully Pulpit Interactive and Team Rubicon, while Hoque was CFO and co-CEO of The Ambit Group.
In November, Washington Harbor Partners completed the acquisition of SixGen for a company that designs its products to warn of vulnerabilities in its own IT systems.
Two Six Technologies
The board of directors of the defense and cybersecurity company has welcomed a new member in the user Teresa Shea, former director of signals intelligence at the National Security Agency.
This role made Shea the number one signals intelligence adviser to the NSA director, the director of national intelligence, many senior U. S. military officers, and high-level civilian leaders.
Shea retired from the NSA in 2014 and his next career in the personal sector includes senior positions at In-Q-Tel, the venture capital arm of the intelligence community, and at Raytheon and the intelligence business.
