The Milwaukee-based Palermo frozen pizza maker is expanding again with plans to build a 200,000-square-foot production facility at the former Froedtert Malt west of Milwaukee.
The new production facility will be built at 3900 W. Lincoln Ave. , two miles from the company’s headquarters on Canal Street in Menomonee Valley. About 50 jobs will be added with the addition of the West Milwaukee plant, according to a Monday announcement from Palermo.
“Our priority is to create competitive local jobs in the marketplace, which means expansion at our company’s headquarters located on Canal Street in Milwaukee, a continued increase in capacity at our newly added plant in Jefferson, Wisconsin, and now moving west of Milwaukee. “said Giacomo Fallucca. Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Palermo. ” The 50 new positions we will create are professional jobs that require rapid education and play a key role in our production process. They fit into our existing production positions and offer competitive salaries in the market.

Last April, Dickman Development unveiled a plan to upgrade the old one with a 270,000-square-foot, $28. 2 million shopping complex. The plans submitted showed that the existing structures in the complex would be demolished and upgraded through two commercial facilities.
The groundbreaking of the new production facility in Palermo is scheduled for August and the planned date for the finishing touches is June 2025.
“This proposed new food production facility for the former Froedtert Malt/Malteurop site on Lincoln Avenue would be a welcome addition to West Milwaukee’s commercial base pending approvals from the Planning Commission, CDA and City Council. “said John Stalewski, president of the Village of West Milwaukee. “
Palermo has also recently submitted an order to expand the parking space at the company’s headquarters, at 3301 W. The 12,200 square feet of additional parking area will cover the recent expansion and worker needs.
“The expansion of the parking lot is helping us meet the desires of our existing workforce base, which has grown to provide employment for more than 1200 people. This expansion prepares us for long-term expansion opportunities at our Canal Street headquarters,” said Angelo Fallucca, President of Palermo. We continue to see an increase in demand for our pizzas and are proactive in meeting long-term desires. “
In September, Palermo’s began production at Tyson Foods’ former processing plant in Jefferson, where it announced it would create more than 200 jobs and produce 50 million frozen pizzas a year.
