Putnam County Prepares for West Virginia Food Truck Festival on Saturday

ELEANOR, W. Va — Organizers will host food trucks for an annual occasion at the Putnam County Fairgrounds in Eleanor.

West Virginia’s sixth annual food festival will take place at 1 p. m. at five o’clock on Saturday afternoon.

More than a dozen food trucks will be on site. Kelli Steele, director of the Putnam County Convention and Tourism Bureau, said the food is a highlight, along with craft beer, live music and outdoor games.

“We have games on grass courts. You can play Cornhole, Lawn Jenga, Connect 4, other people can throw the frisbee,” Steele said during an appearance on “580 Live” hosted through Dave Allen on 580-WCHS.

There is a VIP ticket option from 12:00 p. m. to 1:00 p. m. Tickets are released after 1:00 p. m.

“It gives other people a chance to make sure they’re not waiting in a very long line and check the trucks before the lines fill up,” Steele said.

Proceeds will be donated to the Putnam County library system.

“Every year we are spouses of another nonprofit and all proceeds from the festival, as well as proceeds from our raffle basket and donations, are donated to another nonprofit each year and this year it’s the Friends of the Putnam Library. “Steele said. “
