Blackmagic has solidified its reputation as affordable cinema cameras. The recent Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K advanced over its predecessors with a full-frame sensor and a flexible L-mount that can accommodate a wide variety of lenses in the camera body, all for a moderate starting value of $2,595. Now, you can buy one for $1,000 less than the previous one at B.

The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K (9/10, WIRED recommended) now costs $1,575 in stores, making it less expensive than the older Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2, which doesn’t even have a full-frame sensor. Blackmagic hasn’t set a deadline for this sale yet, saying that “stock is incredibly limited,” so this deal may not last long.

This camera uses Leica’s L-mount system, which has a short enough focal length that, with the right adapter, you can use lenses designed for the Canon EF mount, Nikon F mount, and many other lens systems. (The notable exception is Micro Four Thirds Lenses, but that still leaves a huge diversity of lenses available. )

It’s also a full-frame camera, which means the sensor is as giant as the symbol on 35mm film. This can capture more scene in one frame (if it’s coming from a camera with a cropped sensor). Larger pixels can also provide more color. and less noise at higher ISO settings. It’s worth noting that this camera doesn’t have built-in symbol stabilization or autofocus tracking.

If you were hesitant to buy this specific camera (or an affordable cinema camera in general), you’d find it hard to believe you’ll find a better opportunity.
