COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Adam Scott has played in every primary since the 2001 British Open. This series is now under threat. Cam Davis beat him for the third spot of the playoffs in a long day of qualifying for the US Open. The 36 qualifying matches were played on 10 pitches across the country, with 687 players vying for 44 spots. Scott’s streak would probably not be over. The US Open reserves six spots in case players qualify behind in the overall rankings. Scott can also be the first to alternate. The other qualifiers on Monday were Matt Kuchar, Webb Simpson and two players from LIV Golf.
