NBC Sports and IMSA Announce Multi-Year Expansion with Increased Network Coverage

Continuing a dating that began in 2019, NBC Sports will continue to host the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and other sports car series as part of a multi-year extension beginning next season.

IMSA on NBC Sports platforms has grown 37% over the past five seasons.

The new agreement will come with an approximately 50% increase in NBC broadcast network policy with 17 hours of the first IMSA series airing on NBC. All WeatherTech SportsCar Championship policy will continue to air live on Peacock.

The 2023 season was IMSA’s most-watched season on NBC with a 13% year-over-year increase in viewership. IMSA’s policy on Peacock increased to 60% of the total number of minutes streamed in 2022.
