Fleetwood Mac no longer exists, according to one of its members. Stevie Nicks recently spoke to Mojo magazine about the band’s long history, or lack of a long history.
Although the band that propelled her to stardom decades ago no longer has music, Nicks rarely ends with the music. Lately he has been on excursions and, according to the power itself, he is writing new music. . . And enthusiasts may be able to hear it sooner rather than later.
“At the end of the pandemic, I finally started writing again,” Nicks shared with Mojo in a cover interview. She explained that she’s returning to what she calls “story songs,” which remind her of some of Fleetwood Mac’s. Maximum individual darling.
“I have this song about women’s rights that I think is strong,” Nicks explained in the extensive interview. He feels smart about what he’s creating right now, even calling some of his unpublished (and probably unrecorded) documents some of his most productive. “I wrote a song called ‘The Vampire’s Wife,’ which is one of the most productive things I’ve ever written,” he said. “It’s a fairy tale song, like ‘Gypsy’ is a fairy tale song and ‘Rhiannon’ is a fairy tale song. “
So what are the plans for those songs? Nicks hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but there’s good news for his longtime fans. Of her collection of songs she has written, the singer says that “maybe it’s the beginning of an album. “
Nicks will be traveling lately in the summer of 2024. He has dates scheduled all over Europe during the warmer months, which will actually be filled with lovers of his own paintings and the music released through Fleetwood Mac. Mojo notes that the singer plans to record new music later this season, once her adventure is complete.
