TSMC will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony next month in Dresden, Germany, to celebrate its first semiconductor factory in Europe.
This milestone comes as TSMC expands its global semiconductor production footprint, with TSMC’s President and Chief Executive Officer, C. C. Wei led a corporate delegation and welcomed appliance and fabric suppliers, consumers and government officials on Aug. 20, as a sign of TSMC’s commitment to its investments in Germany.
TSMC’s semiconductor factory in Dresden, formerly known as European Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp. (ESMC), enter service by the end of 2027, according to Nikkei Asia sources.
