I have never met a Rixo dress that I haven’t loved. They have accompanied me to weddings, professional occasions and celebratory drinks. Hand-painted, vintage-inspired prints are unlike anything else in the mid-range fashion market (ranging from mainstream to high-end), and the most productive part? They still have really good compatibility, which is what happens when a lopass designs garments with other bodies and shapes (most pieces in the collection reach length 26).
This content can also be viewed on the site where it originated.
So I headed to Rixo’s flagship store in London on King’s Road (an indoor lover’s dream with cocktail bar, café, used and rental railings, bridal suite and modification table) to see some of its new diversity and some pieces. vintage collection.
First Impressions: This logo offers more than just floral dresses. The skirts posted, the slogan T-shirts, the romantic ruffled blouses, the old-fashioned printed dresses, the jackets, the *mega* shoes, the jewelry and accessories. . . Honestly, I may have spent hours here . But unfortunately I was only on my lunch break and it probably wouldn’t have been wonderful if I returned to my table 3 hours later, laden with bags of Rixo. Although I was very tempted.
Okay, I know Rixo is known for that, so it’s not exactly breaking news, but hear me out: this is one of the most beautiful and supple floral dresses I’ve ever tried on. It’s obviously the best for occasions and weddings, but you can dress casually during the day with an oversized sweater and sneakers. The consistent burden with wearing this dress makes it a no-brainer.
The bias cut and silk crepe de chine fabric are super flattering, while the draped open back is, I can verify, bra-friendly! Hurrah!
I know you GLAMOUR readers love horoscopes as much as I do, so here’s the t-shirt for you!
It’s lightweight, short, and pairs perfectly with almost anything: your favorite jeans, a posted skirt (like the one I’m wearing here), or a textured mini skirt. Fits true to size, so if you are looking for a looser fit, I recommend sizing up. Also, as you can see through the sheen of my bright white bra, the fabric is see-through, so choose your underwear wisely (or recklessly, depending on how much you enjoy summer).
I didn’t know my wardrobe needed a vintage style ruffle blouse until I tried it. The cotton voile fabric is comfortable and breathable (perfect for summer) and I love the buttoned cuffs.
I tried it with the Ardith midi skirt, but on a day-to-day basis, it would probably be the most ultra-feminine with something edgier in the back: baggy boyfriend jeans or a jort with chunky boots or my favorite Nike Cortez sneakers.
Everything about this dress is stunning. The silk fabric, the 60s-inspired floral print, the open back, the sublime drape of the silhouette, the flattering fitted waist, the puffed sleeves and cuffs – it’s all just a *chef’s kiss*.
Of course, this is a bit more of an investment than other Rixo pieces, as they are part of their premium Gold collection, but if you can afford it, it’s worth it.
I hope the sale sells out on this old-fashioned swirl print dress. I wore it here with the silk shawl and matching gold belt (similar here), but it would look wonderful with all the second-hand jewelry and accessories you have at home. .
