Donald Trump insists he was hit by a “strong” bullet while attacking the FBI chief, suggesting it was shrapnel.

Donald Trump lashed out at the FBI director after he said investigators didn’t know if he went through a bullet or shrapnel.

Christopher Wray told the United States House Judiciary Committee earlier this week that the FBI is still working to determine exactly what hit the former president’s ear during the shooting.

“From what I understand, it was [a bullet] or shrapnel that grazed his ear,” he said.

And he added: “We wonder if it was a bullet or shrapnel that hit him in the ear. »

But in an article published on his Truth Social, Donald Trump responded by saying that “the once-famous FBI has lost the trust of United States. “

“FBI Director Christopher Wray told Congress that he wasn’t sure if I was hit by shrapnel, glass, or a bullet (the FBI didn’t even check it!),” he said.

“No, unfortunately it was a bullet that hit me in the ear, and it hit her very hard. There is no glass or shrapnel. The hospital called it a “gunshot wound to the ear” and that’s what happened.

He accused Wray of failing to crack down on “patriots” while protecting “radical left wing nuts” who burn the American flag.

“You are sure that crooked Joe Biden is physically and cognitively “uneventful” – false! Trump said about the FBI director.

“That’s why he doesn’t know anything about the terrorists and criminals who are flooding our country at record levels. »

Investigators had previously said that shooter Thomas Crooks had already researched other public figures before the assassination attempt and had also conducted an online search: “How far is Oswald from Kennedy?” »

The online search refers to Lee Harvey Oswald, the shooter who killed US President John F. Kennedy with the cleverest of snipers in Dallas on November 22, 1963.

Trump, the Republican nominee for November’s presidential election, could face a tight race as polls show Democratic rival Kamala Harris is most likely to close the gap.

His immediate emergence as the most likely successor to President Joe Biden, 81, as the Democratic nominee for the Nov. 5 presidential election has shaken up the race.

A New York Times/Siena College national poll released Thursday found Harris has narrowed a sizable lead over Trump.

Trump leads Harris 48% to 46% among registered voters, compared to a 49% to 41% lead over Biden in early July.
