Donald Trump agreed to hold a debate with Kamala Harris, after she said she was “ready” to confront him.
Trump had said in the past that he would not debate Harris – the current vice president and most likely the Democratic nominee in the November elections – because she was not the official nominee.
But Harris has already won enough votes from Democratic delegates to become her party’s presidential candidate: the online voting procedure does not end until Monday.
“I am completely willing to accept the effects of this ‘coup’ and upgrade Joe to the level of the debate with Crazy Kamala Harris,” Trump wrote on his own social media site, Truth Social.
“I spent many millions of dollars, time and effort fighting Joe, and when I won the debate, they threw a new candidate into the ring. It’s fair, but that’s the way it is!”
“The rules will be similar to the rules of my debate with Sleepy Joe, who was treated horribly across his party, but with a room full of spectators,” he added in a later message, referring to President Joe Biden, who has since resigned . of the position. Running for re-election.
That post was then deleted for a few minutes before being reposted, and Trump cut off his proposal for an “important” town hall meeting on the same date if Ms. Harris “is unwilling or unable to debate. ”

While no official main points have been released, Trump said the debate would be held via Fox News and take a position on Sept. 4.
“The Fox News debate will take place in the Greater Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, at a location in a domain to be determined,” he wrote.
“The moderators of the debate will be Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum. “
Harris had said in the past last month that she was “ready” after Fox News hosted a presidential debate between the two candidates.
Harris is set to be the first woman of color on a primary party’s roster. He has not yet selected his vice presidential nominee, but he is expected to interview applicants this weekend.
Earlier this week, Trump sparked controversy again after questioning the vice president’s racial identity, raising eyebrows at a conference hosted by the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago.
