Dallas Cowboys camp catches fire in Oxnard

OXNARD, Calif. – A fire broke out at the Dallas Cowboys camp in Oxnard.

The Oxnard Police and Fire Department responded to a fire call at the team hotel.

Cowboys editor Patrik Walker said the team’s chimney didn’t get in the way Tuesday of the team, which was several hundred yards from the chimney.

There was no one in the room that clogged the chimney and no one was hurt.

The Cowboys released the following statement:

“There was a fireplace in one of the rooms this afternoon at the team hotel in Oxnard, California. The emergency room was confined to a room that was empty at the time and there were no injuries. The Dallas Cowboys thank the Oxnard Fire Department. Oxnard Police Department and Department for their reaction to the situation.

Mike Doocy, a sports anchor for FOX 11’s sister station KDFW-TV (FOX Dallas), shared videos of the scene.
