Melania and Donald Trump have just unveiled their own cryptocurrencies, while Bitcoin has hit a record high.
The incoming first lady announced the “Official Melania Meme” on Sunday in a post on X.
One day earlier, Donald Trump launched the meme coin $Trump, telling users on his social media platform Truth Socal: “It’s time to celebrate everything we stand for: WINNING!”
Despite having been critical of cryptocurrencies in his first mandate, President Trump is final and is now a defender of the decentralized currency.
Bitcoin hit a peak of $109,000 on Monday morning, investors, investors have bet that the new president would give the industry a spice when he came into office.
Along the way of the crusade, he promised to take action early in his presidency to make the United States the “crypto capital” of the world.

However, the president has been criticized for his new piece.
“Trump owning 80 percent and timing launch hours before inauguration is predatory and many will likely get hurt by it,” said crypto venture capitalist Nick Tomaino in a social media post.
“Trump deserves to be diverted from others instead of enriching himself or his team with this. “
However, Tomaino said that President Trump’s inauguration represented a “net positive” for the crypto world.
“The temperament from the anti-writing era of biden to the Trump era is great. “
Memes currencies are a highly volatile sector of the cryptographic industry that begins as a joke without a genuine value, but other people are willing to buy them, their value can be fired.
