The Target Street Franchise 1,000 US sites

Chaiiwala, the Leicester-headquartered Indian street food franchise, has outlined plans to open 1,000 stores in the US to go alongside a potential 400-plus outlets in the UK.

Established in 2015 in Leicester, Chaiiwala offers a fusion of original street food with a western touch. The menu offers breakfast, lunches, desserts and author pieces throughout the day like Karak Chaii, Caramel Chaii, an English breakfast, French fries and karachi bun kebab.

In 2023, the corporate signed an investment partnership with Lote Global taking into account expansion – especially in the United States.

Now, founder Sohail Ali said under the hospitality industry that she is looking for “experienced franchise partners, distributors, supply chain specialists, and genuine real estate professionals to sign up for this journey. “

Chaiiwala recently has 15 sites in Canada and approximately one hundred in the United Kingdom.

Ali said: ““We think the potential Stateside is 1,000-plus stores, complemented with a fully-fledged UK potential of 400-plus stores. Our plans for entry to the US are initially across five states: New York, Michigan, Illinois, California and Texas. We are looking for seasoned franchise operators as well as franchise operators who have the capability to act as a master franchisee, handling supply chain and distribution for their state as well as cross-country.

“In the UK, we are looking for food and drink veterans who have a track record and a shown appetite for 3 to five retail outlets in clusters across the UK. Franchisees who have portfolios of existing homes that they can exploit to increase implementation is an advantage, but not essential. »»

The logo uses formats for its outlets, such as High Street Street locations, small kiosks, and retail park units. Chaiiwala has gone down in history as the first corporate in the UK to serve Indian Street Foods with the opening of its Bolton store in 2023.
