(Reuters) – Bitcoin, a miner of Bitcoin, based in Toronto, has recruited two experts to explore how some of their comforts can fulfill to fulfill the development of synthetic intelligence knowledge centers, he said on Friday.
Why does it matter
Crypto miners often own large plots of land and significant power resources — assets that are also crucial for high-performance computing (HPC) and AI data centers.
To capitalize on the AI boom, many miners have reused portions of their operations in the knowledge centers, since they already have the maximum infrastructure.
However, critics of the approach warn that the replacement will likely not succeed because AI knowledge centers are more sophisticated.
CONTEXT
Bit Farms said the consultants, the Appleby strategy and generation organization will analyze their North America sites.
They will also advise the company on its IT and AI strategy, while marketing sites to prospective customers.
Earlier this month, Riot platforms introduced to the possible uses of AI and, for example, safe portions of its installation in Navarro County, Texas.
