Last Trump: The President says that we must take possession of Gaza to be able to point it out for “jobs and homes”

Donald Trump has been accused of “calling for ethnic cleansing” after suggesting that Gaza’s entire Palestinian population could be resettled in other parts of the Middle East.

The US President observes a press convention with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last night.

Democrat Rashida Tlaib, the Palestinian-American member of Congress, said, “This president blatantly calls for ethnic cleansing while sitting next to a genocidal war criminal.

“It is perfectly well cutting to the Americans of the federal budget, while Israeli government investment continues to flow. ”

Trump also offered main points on how a resettlement procedure can be implemented.

Some Mavens said the concept echoed the wishes of Israel’s law, former Middle East advisor, Aaron David Miller, saying that Trump’s comments had given the first Israeli minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “great pass. “

“He validated almost every right-wing fantasy in Israel,” he said.

Donald Trump’s proposal that the United States “takes control” of Gaza and permanently reaps to its Palestinian citizens temporarily rejected through American allies and adversaries.

The comments came amid a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, which the militant organization made to the hostages in exchange for the release of prisoners held across Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stood for Trump as he made the comments, smiling as he laid out his concept and said the U. S. president’s plan is “worth listening to. ”

Egypt and Jordan have already rejected the concept of moving more than 2 million Palestinians from Gaza in the Middle East.

Saudi Arabia, a vital U. S. ally, reacted to Trump’s comments with a heavily written statement, claiming that his call for an independent Palestinian state was “company, company and unwavering. “

Similarly, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese told reporters his country has long supported a two-state solution in the Middle East and that nothing had changed.

New Zealand’s Foreign Ministry said its “long-standing support for a two-state solution is on the record” and added that it, too, “won’t be commenting on every proposal that is put forward”.

Hamas said Trump’s proposal was a “recipe for creating chaos and tension in the region”.

“Instead of sustaining the Zionist profession guilty of the crime of genocide and displacement, it is rewarded, punished,” the militant organization said in a statement.

In the United States, opposition politicians had to say goodbye to Mr. Trump, with Democratic Senator Chris Coans calling his comments “offensive, crazy, harmful and stupid. “

Welcome to our live politics from the early days of Donald Trump’s presidency, having announced a shocking and vital replacement in U. S. policy in the Middle East: a late-night press conference with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister.

Trump said the U. S. would “take control” of Gaza and “level it up” while laying out a long-term vision for the besieged enclave, which has been devastated during roughly 18 months of war between the Iranian-backed militant Hamas organization and Israel. .

The proposal has been condemned to unanimously international: we will give the reaction of Trump’s adversaries and allies.

Without establishing the main points of how the Plan would be carried out, the president of the United States said that his country can do a “real work” to transparent bombs without exploiting the territory and rebuilding it as the “Riviera del Middle East. ”

Watch: Trump calls for Gaza resettlement

He also proposed that the approximately two million displaced Palestinians were resettled outside the Gaza doors, with a smiling Netanyahu who said that Trump’s plan “was a value to pay attention. ”

The shocking proposal came as the trade war between the US and China ramps up. Beijing hit back with retaliatory measures yesterday morning within minutes of Trump imposing a 10% tariff on all Chinese imports.

Beijing’s reaction comprising 15% of the costs of U. S. coal and liquefied herbal fuel and 10% in crude oil, agricultural appliances and safe vehicles.

Trump had also threatened the price lists opposite to Canada and Mexico, but in last minute agreements with any of the countries, he arrested them for 30 days.

Earlier this morning, Donald Trump’s tariffs on Chinese imports were implemented, but how long will it take before they kick in?

Look at the investigation of our Economy editor and our Ed Conway’s knowledge editor below.

Donald Trump said he was looking for they will go “peaceful and successful” and that he “would like to” reach an agreement with Tehran.

He said that he “hated” the opposite measures to the country the last time he in the White House, adding: “They were necessarily damaged and had no effective for Hezbollah, they had no effective for Hamas.

But he added: “I would love to be doing a lot, an issue where you (Iranian) can continue your life. “

He said he had “many friends from Iran and many friends that are Americans from Iran, and they’re very proud of Iran”.

The president went on: “I hope we’re going to be able to do something so that it doesn’t end up in a very catastrophic situation.

“I need to see peace. “

He added, however: “They cannot have a nuclear weapon.

“If they can convince us that they won’t, and I hope they can, it’s very simple to do. “

Moving to the floor now for questions.

Donald Trump is asked about his earlier comments suggesting the US could take control of Gaza (see 00.02 post).

The US president is asked what authority would allow him to take over a sovereign territory.

Trump says he sees “a long-term position” that will bring stability to this region of the Middle East.

“It was not a decision taken,” he said.

Trump says that the United States would take care of the Gaza Strip and rebuild it after the Palestinians are resettle in another place.

He says that it can only be the territory in “the Riviera del Middle East” in which the “people of the world” would live, adding to the Palestinians.

“We’ll make sure that it’s done world class,” he says. “It’ll be wonderful for the people – Palestinians, Palestinians mostly, we’re talking about.

“Everyone with whom I talked love that the United States has this field, seeing and creating thousands of jobs. “

He continues: “I studied it. I studied it a lot for many months and I saw it from all other angles. “

Benjamin Netanyahu says he and Donald Trump are aligned in their reflections on Iran.

“This is the same Iran who tried to kill us,” said the Israeli leader.

“They attempted to kill you, Mr. President. They attempted their proxy to kill me.

“We are committed to delaying Iran’s aggression in the region and ensure that Iran never develops a nuclear weapon. “

Benjamin Netanyahu speaks now, with some fulfilled by his American counterpart.

“I am venerated that you have invited me to be the first foreign leader to stop at the White House at your time,” he said.

“This attests to their friendship and for the Jewish state and the Jewish people.

“I’ve said it before. You are the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House.

“That’s why the people of Israel have such enormous respect for you in your first term.”

Netanyahu lists some things Trump has done to earn Israeli respect, including recognising its sovereignty over the Golan Heights and moving the US embassy to Jerusalem.

Donald Trump now moves on the Palestinians in Gaza, where he repeats some of his past statements on those who move them permanently.

He says that Gaza “was a symbol of death and destruction for so many decades” and that they do not pass through a profession of profession through other people “who lived there a depressing existence. “

“Instead, we will have to move on to other countries of interest in the humanitarian heart, and there are many who need to do that and build spaces that will ultimately be occupied through the 1. 8 million Palestinians who live in Gaza, ending the death and destruction and frankly, unfortunate.

Trump says the U. S. will “take the Gaza strip” and “we’ll do a task. “

“We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous, unexplored bombs and other weapons on the site.”

‘Level the site’

Trump says he wants to “level” Gaza and “get rid of the destroyed buildings”.

After this, he suggests creating “an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area”.

It’s unclear who he believes should fill this space.
