Washington D. C. plane crashes: Donald Trump jokingly on Twist of Fate site, “Do you need to swim?”

Washington DC plane crash: After Wednesday’s deadly plane crash in Washington DC, US President Donald Trump joked about the plans to visit the accident site. When a reporter asked the newly appointed 47th US President if he would visit the site where a passenger plane collided with a military helicopter, Trump gave a snide remark, suggesting that the site was just water.

“I have a plan to visit, not the site. Because you tell me, what’s the site? The water? You want me to go swimming?” Donald Trump responded during a White House press briefing on Thursday. The latest tragic mishap marks the deadliest US air disaster in two decades.

The collision of an American Airlines plane with a Black Hawk helicopter occurred on Wednesday in the middle of the Reagan Washington National Airport, on the Potomac River in Washington DC. Up to 60 passengers were aboard the passenger plane, with the exception of four team members, while 3 infantry people were in the helicophones when the fate occurred.

Donald Trump confirmed he would meet victims’ families but not first responders. “But I will be meeting with some people that were very badly hurt — with their family members, obviously, but I’ll be meeting with some of the families,” Donald Trump added.

These comments occurred a few hours after the US President maintained the diversity of hiring guilty for the turn of the destination, a press conference on Thursday. He claimed that the hiring of diversity in the context of the previous administrations of Obama and Biden in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was connected with the destination.

One day after the fatal accident, Donald Trump approved two decrees. One of the orders involved an prompt assessment of air safety whilst the other connected to the appointment of a new assistant administrator of the FAA.

While investigations continued, two black boxes from American Airlines planes were found, in addition to a flight knowledge recorder and a cockpit voice recorder. Although Donald Trump has not provided specifications or evidence or released any of the investigative findings, an initial report is within 30 days.

The plane exploded in a fireball after the helicopter hit the plane in the air, after which the two fell into the Potomac River. According to officials, there are no survivors. Bout 40 bodies were discovered in the frozen waters of the river on Thursday night (local time).
