A guy who says he has lost $ 784 million in Bitcoin (BTC) in a landfill talks with the investors of the acquisition potentially on Earth, BBC reported Monday.
“I recently discussed this option with investment partners and is very on the table,” said James Howlls, according to the BBC.
Howlls said his ex -girlfriend had erroneously thrown a hard drive containing 8,000 Bitcoin on the download site in Newport Quays in 2013. During the last decade, he has made requests to the Newport Council to see him and said he was widely ignored. Newport’s advice refused to comment, said the BBC.
He tried to continue with the Council for 495 million pounds ($ 646 million), the complex assessment of Bitcoin in early 2024, but his case was rejected through Pass trial in January. The authority plans to close the site next monetary year and has permission to build a solar energy farm on the ground.
